Wah Fu Estate, established in 1968, is an iconic public housing estate in Hong Kong known for its innovative "city centre" design, self-sufficient community, and unique features like a "deity hill" and geometric architecture. Featured in many local movies, the estate will undergo a phased demolition, with its 18 blocks and 9,000 households set to be gradually vacated by 2035, marking the end of a significant chapter in Hong Kong's history. A vintage Leyland Fleetline bus, once used as transport in the area, is now being used to offer limited tours highlighting the estate's legacy and strong community bonds that will disappear with its demolition.
