Most of Arabia is not a part of any ancient map because there simply wasn’t anything worth mentioning in that region. Europeans were really the first to make any significant map of Arabia based on the records of Ptolemy, but the only areas Ptolemy spoke of were in northern Arabia and southern Arabia - nothing of central Arabia. If he had traveled throughout Arabia, wouldn’t he have recorded the greatest, most famous, and most historically significant city of Mecca in central Arabia if the city had indeed existed?
