Camping Alone in Heavy Rain and Thunder (with my Dog)

Описание: My dog Indi, and I, braved the elements to came on the top of Mt Richardson, in the South Island of New Zealand, during a heavy rain storm that brought thunder and strong winds. After a three hour hike we found a lovely flat spot to camp in the protection of the trees and were sheltered from the winds that blew all around us. My favourite part of this camp was listening to the sound of the rain on the tent, and the rain on the tarp. The sound of the thunder made camp even cosier. I cooked up a delicious curry for dinner and enjoyed a celebratory piece of Christmas cake to welcome in the holidays.
After dark I was able to bring out my ouTask Portable Outdoor Light, an extremely well make telescopic outdoor lantern. In this video I showcase some of the lanterns features and explain why I carried it all the way to the top of a mountain.
Overcoming the challenges that come my way when I am camping solo is one of the most rewarding parts of my trips. I go out camping on my own in order to enjoy nature and the therapeutic benefit of being in the outdoors. It is my hope that as you join me on this camp that you will also feel some of that rest, and relaxation.
