Plan and layout the background for a 34 x 18-inch art quilt, inspired by a larger quilt named Wall Flowers (which is 54.4 x 34-inches). We look at the many features planned for the project, including hand beading, satin-stitching, free-motion quilting, trapunto, an irregular binding edge, and leaves that extend beyond the edge of the quilt. Interest strips, 2 fat quarters
Background fabric, cut from 1/2 yd
Batting
Quilt Back, cut from 1/2 yd
I usually spray baste my batting and quilt back. You could also spray baste your background fabric to your batting.
13:20 CUTTING OUT THE INTEREST STRIPS
14:27 PIN AND BASTE. Please baste by your preferred method. I just machine baste by free-motioning my edges.
