For Day 18 of this lovely New Year's yoga commitment, I will guide you through a 25-minute class titled "Stand Tall," in which you'll practice mostly standing asana to bring your attention to your feet and grounding through them. You'll notice the length of your body and your spine in a new way, and find empowerment in standing at your tallest through sustains and proper posture.
This class was delightful for me to create and guide, and I'm looking forward to you experiencing it!
In yoga philosophy, outlined in the Niyamas, there is an importance pressed upon self-study and inner reflection, Svadhyaya, to encourage you to dive deeper within yourself, and seek your soul and the core of your being; the beauty of who YOU are. Yoga practice on the mat and off of the mat poses an abundant opportunity for this self-discovery. There is so much beauty in your mind and your thoughts, but also beneath that consciousness, so whenever you step onto the mat, remind yourself of this "why" and invite yourself deeper to see what you feel and find! You are a beautiful being down to your innermost self, and you deserve to discover that.
