The results are out, and Donald Trump has won the US presidential election by a huge margin. Trump received 295 electoral votes, while Kamala Harris stopped at 226. This win makes Trump only the second President in US history, after Grover Cleveland, to serve two non-consecutive terms.

People across the world are noticing Trump’s strong support in the election, which shows that many Americans believe in his vision. Meanwhile, Harris’ Democratic Party struggled, with issues like confusion in their campaigns and a lack of clear direction.

One notable incident involved Joe Biden, who wore a “Trump” hat at an event by mistake. Biden had also called Trump’s supporters “garbage,” which upset many voters. Trump responded by saying he would “clean the garbage” left by the Democrats.

Several promises also helped Trump win. He pledged to lower or eliminate income taxes, and many voters blamed Biden’s government for rising inflation and unemployment. Trump also won all seven swing states, securing strong support in rural areas and surprising numbers of votes from minorities and white women.

Illegal immigration from Mexico was another focus, as Trump promised to build a wall and prevent unauthorized entry into the US. Trump also criticized Biden’s $10 billion support for Ukraine in its war with Russia, saying that he would instead focus on solving America’s own problems. He promised to end the conflict within 24 hours if he became president again.

Elon Musk, one of the world’s most powerful people, played a big role in Trump’s campaign. After clashing with Biden, Musk used his platform, X (formerly Twitter), to support Trump, even donating $120 million to his campaign. Musk warned that if Kamala Harris won, she might shut down X and even jail him for his support of Trump. After Trump’s victory, Musk’s influence and power have grown further.

Leaders worldwide, including India’s PM Modi, congratulated Trump on his victory. Trump is also expected to back Israel strongly in its conflict with Iran, as he has supported Israel before and criticized Iran’s policies.

In his victory speech, Trump said, “God saved my life for a reason,” as he referred to an assassination attempt. Since he cannot run for office again, he is expected to make some major decisions in his final term.
