This victory marked India’s second T20 World Cup win, 17 years after their first in 2007, and their first ICC title in 11 years. India's T20 World Cup win was historic, with the team remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. The ICC awarded India $2.45 million (Rs. 20.42 crore) in prize money, while the BCCI announced Rs. 125 crore for the team.

Currently, the Indian team is staying indoors in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. The airport is shut, and a curfew is in place as the hurricane is expected to hit soon.
