Mount Yamnuska offers a thrilling summer loop hike with stunning views and challenging terrain. Crossing the chain section can scary if you have a fear of heights. This hike offers a mix of forest trails and rocky scrambles, leading to breathtaking views of the Bow Valley.
June 11/2019 Spring Hike
Today we are in the Bow Valley, Alberta. We will be hiking to the top of Mount Yamnuska. The trail is 10.6 kilometers, out and back, with an elevation gain of 986 meters. Today we will be doing the full loop trail. This is a very popular hike, with some scrambling up to the summit. If you do the full loop, the added bonus is screeing down the front side of the mountain.
