Casting Freddy Krueger In Solid Bronze! - SCARY Metal Casting At Home

Описание: In this video I'll be casting Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" in solid bronze. Since it's Halloween time again, it was the perfect opportunity to melt down some metal and turn in into something scary. Freddy Krueger was the scary character of choice so I started by creating a 3d model of him in Blender. I then 3d printed the model and made a mold of him in casting sand. I melted down some copper pipes along with some aluminum to make bronze. Once the metal was melted, I poured the molten bronze into the mold. I actually had to do it twice because the first time was a total failure which you'll see why in the video. After removing the mold from the sand, there was still holes in his hat from where I modeled it a little too thin. To fix that though, I brought bronze Freddy over to my fried Justin's shop to fill in the hole. I then sanded down the brazing and gave it a patina to make it look more Freddyish. I finished by mounting Freddy inside a shadow box and added some LED lighting for special effects.
