Biography
Crucify me twice is a Trash Metal band founded on January 8, 2008. The original members of the band were Nikholjay Jasmin, Nikholson Jasmin, Arvin Solis, Arnold Alcaraz and Joey Encarnacion. They started jamming, and after two months, they got their first gig on March 8, 2008 at Ceferina Cafe at Tanza, Cavite. They covered the song, “Like lights to the flies” of Trivium and “Forever” of As I Lay Dying. They got several gigs after that.
After a few months, the bassist (Arvin Solis) had to leave for some reason, and the band had to find a bassist at that time. The band decided to invite Conrad Viray to jam with them and later on, they decided that he will be the bassist for the band.
July 8, 2008, the friends of the band organized a gig entitled, “Buhayin ang Tugtugan sa Salinas “ at Tejeros, Rosario, Cavite. They met other bands that are also into the underground scene.
They became friends with other bands such as Domentho and Echoslap that are from Cavite City. It became easy for the band to get on the line up for some events.
The band started to record their first song at Omorfia’s studio and got their first ever recorded song on 2009. The band was very happy that time. Unfortunately, after a few months, the drummer (Joey Encarnacion) had to leave because he had to go to another country for work. The band wasn’t steady again, and at that time, they were searching for a new drummer. They invited Lawrence Angelo Trillo of Barubal and started to jam. After several gigs, they decided that he will be the new drummer.
The band had composed 3 songs at that time, namely, “Three nails and a cross”, “Immortal Sin” and “Siglo”. Unfortunately, by 2011, they got fewer gigs and on 2012, the lead guitarist (Nikholson Jasmin) started a business which is now known as Mary Green Clothing and became busy.
On 2014, the band had created two new songs which are “Sa Iyong Kamay” and “Pagdurusa”. The band decided to search for a new lead guitarist and invited Lauro Limjoco Jr. They got a gig on the 31st of October at Brielle’s Bar, Cavite City. The band felt that it’s nice to be back because the crowd missed them.
One time, they were drinking Con’s place, and Edelino Solis Jr., a friend since childhood days, suggested recording another song. The band got excited and recorded the song, “Siglo” on December 26, 2014 at Earbender Recording Studio at Imus, Cavite. The band decided to let him manage the band.
So the band’s members as of 2015 are Nikholjay Jasmin (Otoy) on vocals, Arnold Alcaraz (Arn) on rhythm guitars, Conrad Viray (Con) on bass guitar, Lawrence Angelo Trillo (L.A.) on drums, Lauro Limjoco Jr.(Mon) on lead guitars, and Edelino Solis Jr. (Joots Fu) as their manager.
