Описание: This is a video of Amtrak's Capitol Limited passing through the Potomac River Valley during the summer of 1994. This video was filmed back when the Capitol Limited used to operate with single level equipment before Superliner cars were used and before the Capitol Limited was discontinued in 2024, which was about 30 years after this footage was filmed. The video starts at the MARC Station in Point of Rocks, MD before ending in Green Springs, WV where the Potomac Eagle excursion train greets the Capitol Limited on a siding nearby. Some of the highlights of the journey also include several villages, many tunnels, and meets with CSX trains. The music by PBS composer Michael Lynch is relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. Most of the locomotives and railroad equipment are all wearing the Phase III paint scheme. This footage is not my own, and I give full credit to the America By Rail Series (Volume 1, The Heartland) and Greg Scholl Video Productions.
