Yayayay I'm so happy with how this video turned out! Although booty gains aren't my favorite thing to work on, I do love how heavy I can lift and it's probably the workout I feel most knowledgable about. Here are 6 exercises that will KICK your butt (mostly figuratively). And make sure when you're working your butt PILE ON THE WEIGHT because seriously even if you can't do too many sets or reps, it will be worth it and you'll see the difference! I was seriously sore after I filmed this for days... I didn't work out the rest of the week though which probably didn't help... I hope you guys like this video! I'm still planning out my Halloween series and I think next week I might do a fall inspired video, or is it too early for that?! Song- Justine Skye- Collide (Ase Manual Remix)
Hip thrusts with bar- two 45lb plates (for a total of 135lbs) | 4 sets | 10-12 reps
**Make sure you use some sort of barrier so you don't kill your hip bones (trust me it's not fun) also this exercise takes a little bit to get used to so make sure you're completely comfortable before doing an entire set
Back extension- 110lbs | 3 sets | 10-12 reps
** Explode all the way up and hold at the top for best results!
Cable deadlift- 50 lbs | 3 sets | 10-12 reps
** I honestly love this so much more than a regular deadlift because I can concentrate more on my posture and it's easier on my back, this is a must try!
Glute kickback with added lunge- 85 lbs | 2 sets (per leg) | 10 reps
** If you don't like this machine you can easily do this with ankle weights or on the previous machine with a strap as well. If you're interested in that you can try moving your foot upwards rather than just parallel to the ground!
Side squat on Smith Machine- 85 lbs | 2 sets (per leg) | 10 reps
** A fellow Youtuber (Whitney Simmons / @whitneysimmons ) introduced this move to me in her latest butt video and I had so much fun trying it out!
Hip abduction in squat formation- 210 lbs | 3 sets | 12 reps
** This is the heaviest I can do on ANY exercise that I do so I'm pretty proud of that :-) the wider you can spread your legs apart the better, this will tone up the outside of your bum!
