As co-chair on the state’s Water Program Task Force, Sen. Titus is in the thick of the discussion on managing this vital resource. His presentation will examine some of the basics of Kansas Water Law, how and why it evolved to its present state, and the various efforts, past and present, by the state to address issues related to water availability.
Senator Kenny Titus represents the 18th Senate District in Northeast Kansas. He served in the House from 2022-24 and was elected to the Senate in 2024, and serves on the Agriculture, Local Government, and Commerce Committees. Prior to his election, Kenny served as a state attorney for the Kansas Department of Transportation; the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, where he represented the Kansas Water Office; and the Kansas Department of Agriculture, where he represented the Division of Water Resources, and was involved in numerous water-related issues.
