Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors (via Capcom Fighting Collection) playthrough Part 7 Final

Описание: That was a lot of frustration today. Though, I can't lay it all on the game. It turns out, my new 8BitDo Arcade Stick has some snapback issues. That's really bad when trying to double tap a direction. Because that gives you phantom inputs the wrong way and breaks the double tap. That's preventing me from dashing, or using Sasquatch's ice spikes.

Which made Sasquatch frustrating to play to the point where I gave up and cheated. And even THEN it took a while to actually beat Pyron. Because, once again, one of the moves I have to counter his stuff - the ice spikes - wouldn't work right partly thanks to the snapback. Sasquatch had a bunch of trouble against Demitri, ALL the trouble against Pyron (nothing I did worked)... and breezed through everyone else. Quite a dichotomy of a character.

I didn't think I'd have enough time to go through the bosses in the last half hour, but it's amazing what you can do when the computer's AI isn't programmed to deal with your characters. Yea... I can't judge the boss characters. Because the AI literally is missing the reactions to the bosses' moves. So, yes, I can sit there and spam an OP laser over and over, but even if it wasn't completely OP the AI isn't programmed to do things like... block the attack. Or try to jump, or react in ANY way. So, yea, I can't really get a good feel for how cheap they are when the AI can't properly respond anyway. Though, that laser is CHEAP!

The game as a whole? I don't like it. I really, really don't like it. The characters just don't feel good, and they especially - on the mechanics side at least - don't feel like they were programmed to be in the same game together. It's like they were all developed in a bubble and never tested against each other. The end result is just a mess, a mishmash of things with no cohesiveness to it. I really, really hope the later games are better than this. -- Watch live at   / the_nametag
