According to a folk legend, the founder of the Sanshin (Okinawan three strings music equipment) is "Akainko".
He made the Okinawan special music scale too.
Now Akainko is enshrined as the deity of Music by Okinawan. Especially musicians visit the Akainko Shrine in Yomitan for praying for the music success.
Akainko Shrine is famous and its located at Sobe in Yomitan near Torii Station.
