Henza island is a one of remote island in Uruma city, but its connected to mainland via Kaichu Doro (Ocean Road) today.
In old days, Henza island was so active and important because its the stopping point of trading between north and south part of Ryukyu.
Then a lot of fishermen and ship trading staff were there, and people were praying for safe voyage and good catch.
This Nanza Mo-i is one of those traditional religious event in Henza.
Its happens on March 3rd though 5th on May in the lunar calendar and people visit to the rock which is located off shore and people crime up and give a praying. Its called Nanza Mo-i.
