I love diving off the Kona Honokohau Harbor at night! It can be a challenging site due the busy boat channel ferrying divers and snorkelers out to the manta ray night dive site and the optional deep depths adds another factor during night dives. This site at night, is not advised for beginner divers.
This video features 3 different species octopus (short-arm, ornate and crescent), a couple passes by sandbar sharks, a spotted eagle ray dive bombing me, spanish dancer nudibranch, the rare ridgeback lobster, and the ever-lovely bobtail squid burying itself - plus so many more critters!
