The Science: Hope for the Future

Wound Healing: New research is exploring the use of rose extracellular vesicles (REVs) in hydrogels for diabetic wound care. These microscopic components contain natural proteins and growth factors that assist in plant repair and have shown potential in addressing both healing and infection in lab settings. However, clinical trials are still needed to confirm their effectiveness in humans.
Antioxidant Properties: Roses contain various beneficial compounds, such as anthocyanins, which are antioxidants that may help manage diabetes and its complications by improving insulin sensitivity and reducing oxidative stress.
The Hype: Current Limitations
Despite promising lab results, there is currently no scientific evidence or clinical recommendation for using roses or rose-derived products as a primary treatment for diabetes in humans.
