Kugy couloir finally in shape - deep powder

Описание: Finally good amounts of fresh snow arrived to our home mountains. Evening before we tested fresh snow under Mangart - it was soo good I immediately knew we will go on another deep tour next morning. So we went to Kugy couloir - similar orientation - it turned out that also snow conditions were matching. Rarely a lot of snow falls without wind in Julian Alps but at least on these two locations it was like that. So after some work making skintrack we transitioned to the plates for the couloir. Eventhough we didn't see much it was clear that line is now nicely filled in and will allow some nice skiing without worries for sharks - for the first time this seasson😅
Bootpack was deep but constant, ok few really deep sections even for me. We soon reached the exit and made a transition on the ridge. We got even some sun, no wind. But when it was time to ski somehow cloud rolled in. After wating for more than 1 hour we decided it is time to ski by feel not by actually seeing the terrain. Skiing down was deep for sure effected by bad visibility but still good - till the end of couloir. Bellow couloir it was complete whiteout - it remainded me of Chamonix. Before forest we got visibility and succesfully avoided sharks inside forest. This was first time I did this tour in 2024/25 season without taking skis off due to lack of snow.

*During our descend we met two groups of skiers that followed our skintrack - I don't have a problem with that. But then they also went on skins inside couloir higher than half - they were still ascending. That is the point I don't understand🤔 We made a bootpack, for safety reasons and also to have perfect snow conditions skiing down. What do you think? Do you bootpack or skintrack powder inside couloir you want to descend?
