Green Peas Pilau | Easy to Cook Peas Pulao | Green Peas Pilav Recipe | Peas Pulav Recipe in English
INGREDIENTS:
2.5 cup long grain basmati rice
1 cup frozen green peas
1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
1 large size onion
2 green chillies
1 chicken stock cube
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. red chilli flakes
1 tbsp. cumin seeds
1 teaspoon black paper corn
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
4 green cardamoms
6 cloves
1 tsp. of kewra water
1/2 tsp. of saffron color
Add oil in a pan and fry the onions till it turns golden
Now add bay leaf, cinimon stick, cardimom, cloves, black pepper corn, cumin and saute for a minute
Add ginger garlic paste and cook till it changes the color
Add green pea and stock cube and give it a good mix, and add salt, chilli flakes and cook for another 2 mins
Add green chillies and rice after draining the water they were soaked in
Now add 3 cups of water that should be apporimately 1 inch above the surface of the rice
Cook on high flame and bring water to boil
Once water and rice are leveled, close the lid and turn the flame to medium low and cook for 5 mins
Now check the rice after 5 mins and turn the flame to its minimum and carefully turn them upside down for even cooking & add the kewra water. Sprinkle saffron color on one side and cover the lid for another 10.mins and cook them at a very low flame
After 10.mins turn the burner off and let the rice rest for 5 more mins
After 5 mins remove the lid and slightly toss them so they wont stick together
Serve hot with your favorite Pakistani condiment ( kachumar salad, raita, pickle or charni 😋)
