The Sikh community in the U-K joined in the 300th anniversary celebrations of the birth of the Sikh brotherhood, the Order of the Khalsa.
The Sikh religion was founded 500 years ago, and brings together the beliefs of Hinduism and Islam.
But the Sikh brotherhood was created later in 1469 by the last great Sikh guru, Gobind Singh.
A spectacular display of martial arts performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, U-K to mark to 300th anniversary of the Sikh brotherhood.
Male followers of the religion take on the surname Singh, which means Lion.
They aim to be God fearing, self-abrogating and classless.
Sikh men are required to keep long hair covered in a turban - they also carry a sword.
Followers of the Sikh religion are regarded as being among the fiercest martial races of India.
The Sikh religion was founded by Guru Nanak in 1469 who combined parts of Hinduism and Islam.
Britain has a Sikh population of around 500-thousand and the celebrations to mark the anniversary was organised by the Network of Sikh Organisations in the U-K.
Traditional Indian folk music known as Bhangra was also performed by Malkit Singh - one of the U-K and India's leading folk singers.
Bhangra music is traditionally performed in the Sikh's homeland in the Punjab during the annual harvest festival.
Most of India's nearly 20 (m) million Sikhs live in the northwestern state of Punjab, where a violent campaign for a Sikh homeland raged for 10 years before it was crushed in 1994.
The guest of honour at the event was Britain's Prince of Wales.

The Sikh religion promotes equality in all aspects and women also had an integral part during the celebrations.
They performed religious songs called Kirtans.
