Tercentenary Celebrations of the Birth of Khalsa Panth in April 1999 was the biggest event in the Sikh Calendar. The Sikhs all over the world celebrated it with great enthusiasm. In the UK Vaisakhi 1999 was celebrated in all the towns all over the country. The London Celebrations were organised by the Network of Sikh Organisations in the Royal Albert Hall where HRH Prince Charles was the chief guest.
Inderjit Singh OBE introduced Prince Charles to the cheering audience gathered in the Royal Albert Hall and the prince gave a wonderful speech talking about his visit to India in the eighties, admiring the Sikh philosophy, their martial spirit and thee contributions of the Sikh community towards arts, culture and the UK economy. Bibi Gurdev Kaur OBE with her Sikh Nari Manch Choir performed Kirtan in his presence to start the celebrations.
