The Entertaining Change: Next-Generation Media Partnerships for Social Impact and Gender Equality sessions held in Nigeria brought policymakers, industry leaders, and creatives to convene in Abuja and Lagos to explore evidence-based storytelling, gender-smart media insights, and practical strategies for scaling high-impact content across Africa and beyond.
These sessions are part of LEADS (Lead. Adapt. Scale.)—a World Bank–IFC collaboration led by the Development Impact Group that integrates global evidence and impact evaluations into project design to strengthen development impact at scale.
This event was delivered in partnership with the World Bank Gender team, Women in Film, USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center, UPenn’s Computational Social Listening Lab, and Eden Venture Group—with support from the Gates Foundation and the European Union (Nigeria Delegation).
