Описание: The Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) organized the virtual launch of the 2023 EIB Finance in Africa Report. The webinar discussed the key results of Finance in Africa 2023 report entitled "Uncertain times, resilient banks: African finance at a crossroads'. The report is the outcome of a survey of 33 banks in sub-Saharan Africa between February and April 2023 that covers banking system, financial markets, gender finance and climate finance. Africa is facing another challenging year in 2023 due to a combination of factors, including a slowing global economy and tighter financial conditions following the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These shocks have resulted in high inflation, affecting the poor most severely by increasing the cost of essential products like food and energy.
