This ARENA Insights webinar held on 23 July 2025 introduced the recently published Grid-Forming Battery Portfolio Series: Summary Report.
This webinar explored key project learnings from the development, connection and operation of four, ARENA supported, grid-forming (GFM) battery energy storage system (BESS) plants on the National Energy Market (NEM).
Report author Ekistica summarised the technical, regulatory and commercial advances, learnings, challenges, and opportunities presented by an increasing integration of GFM BESS technology into the network.
