On 19 and 24 September, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) hosted information webinars on the Battery Breakthrough Initiative consultation.
The recently announced the $523.2 million initiative aims to support Australia’s battery manufacturing capability to improve supply chain resilience.
Consultation is now open for the proposed Battery Breakthrough Initiative program design.

The Battery Breakthrough Initiative was announced as part of the Future Made in Australia (FMA) policy agenda of the Australian Government. Central to the National Battery Strategy, the program is being designed by ARENA and the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR). ARENA will be the delivery agency for the program.
