This workshop will give participants an introduction and hands-on experience with visualization, image segmentation and 3D analysis using Avizo. Avizo is a commercial software for general-purpose scientific data visualization and analysis. In this workshop, the instructor will demonstrate how to perform the whole image segmentation and 3D analysis pipeline using Avizo. This will include pre-processing/filtering of the input image stack, segmentation using a wide range of tools (including AI assisted tools), and finally 3D analysis.
Participants will be introduced to the basics of using Avizo, which will be needed for the hands-on segmentation and analysis workflows. A more comprehensive workshop on Avizo will be provided in Spring 2025.
