A Delhi court today awarded Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik two concurrent life sentences in a terror funding case. Special Judge Praveen Singh also awarded varying jail terms for other offences under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). All the sentences will run concurrently. Earlier this month, Malik had told the court that he was not contesting the charges levelled against him. He was convicted on May 19, with the National Investigation Agency seeking the death penalty against him.
