For many, it was their first introduction to He Man, which I find pretty sad considering they eliminated many important features of the He Man Universe. I understand they might have eliminated the Prince Adam part of his identity as it would practically be impossible to show Lundgren as a bumbling good-for-nothing. Nevertheless, I wanted more as the film had a gripping story and Dolph Lundgren played a convincing He Man. If you wanted more stories about that He Man, worry not, as I found a comic book series that scratches that very itch! Not only the film He Man but we also get a whole lot of different He Men!
