Breakdown of Movements for the Parry/Parry movement of the Sun Taiji Extended 42 from the Tai Chi for Health: for Arthritis and Fall Prevention
February 23, 2023
This Demonstration and breakdown were recorded as a result of a discussion on the direction of the stepping in the Parry/Parry movement in the standing form found in the Tai Chi for Health: Arthritis for Fall Prevention Taiji form, modified from Sun Lu Tang's Taiji Lu.
The demonstration attempts to explain the direction of the stepping (straight forward) in conjunction with the twisting movements of the waist and the direction and placement of the palms. Included is a possible self defense application to help the practioner understand the reason for the placement of the hands/feet and the direction of the movement (forward vs stepping 45 degrees)
