Before anything, let me tell you something: when it comes to Nomads, having a fixed plan has no meaning. Everything depends on everything, and the weather has a say in almost everything. Even the wedding ceremony!

That’s why at first the wedding was supposed to be last Thursday, but then they decided to change the day.

Anyway, on Friday morning, we started our journey toward Bakhtiari Nomads who live somewhere among the mighty Zagros mountain ranges. Around the evening, we reached Dastgerd village. We stayed the night in a cozy house where the hospitable family served us tea and a super delicious dinner.

In the morning, we woke up to the sound of Turkeys, sheep & goats. After breakfast, we start our hiking in the breathtaking valleys of Zagros.

Too beautiful for the words! All the way long, there was a transparent greenish-blue river beside us and we were surrounded by magnificent mountains. And I will never forget the proud falcon flying above the mountains.
