In this episode, Tom demonstrates how to make the perfect white loaf, which coincidentally also makes the perfect chip butty. They reveal the method to their ‘Trencher’ recipe – an epic open top hanger steak sandwich topped with wild mushrooms and crispy salad; and then showcase their unique creations, chocolaty “Sticky Sticks” donuts. For the weekly pie-making competition, the brothers go head-to-head in a battle to win over this week’s judges – a group of hungry farmers. Henry chooses to make a meaty rabbit pie and Tom a hearty ploughman’s lunch inspired pasty. But which brother will come out on top?

Two brothers - one a baker, the other a chef and butcher - unlock the trade secrets of baking, and without a cupcake in sight!

With five generations of baking tradition behind them, Tom and Henry take viewers into the heart of the artisan kitchen and unlock the trade secrets of baking. In each episode, the boys roll up their sleeves, get out the flour and take viewers through their delicious recipes. But it's not just about bread and pastry: each dish will have hearty fillings, tempting toppings and tasty accompaniments that bring in stacks of delicious flavours. Tom and Henry also go head to head in a pie-making competition, with each of them coming up with their own version of a themed pie to serve to a group of hungry judges.
