Action from the Dean Forest Railway. The final standard steam timetable of the 2025 season saw BR Standard 2MT 78019 working trains.
The loco arrived last week ahead of the upcoming Royal Forest of Steam gala. a small taste of what's in store for the gala was seized today a week before the event with guest loco 78019 working the standard steam timetable. The visit of 78019 marks the first BR standard locomotive to visit the Dean Forest Railway and the first tender locomotive to operate on the line since 2016.
