CTA Ride Series: Full Ride on the Blue Line from Forest Park to O'Hare

Описание: Note: I switched trains at UIC-Halsted for you to see rides on old and new. I was originally not going to include the section from Forest Park to UIC-Halsted because the train went too slow, but in the end I decided to just include it anyway. Most trains are also terminating at UIC anyway because of the Congress branch reconstruction project.

Welcome to the Chicago ride series! The CTA "L" system is the most famous elevated railway system in the world, comprising of eight colored lines: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, and Pink.

The Blue Line is the system's longest, and there's a lot to explain about this one. It runs through the Eisenhower Expressway median (also known as the Congress branch), the Congress Parkway, Dearborn Street, and Milwaukee Avenue Subway, an elevated section, a subway connector, the Kennedy Expressway median, and the tunnel to O'Hare. It was the first train line to start the trend of tracks in a freeway median, which spread to many train lines across the country. The Blue Line was also the first to receive the most recent rolling stock in the system, the CRRC 7000 series.
