I love this bread... it's not as sweet as traditional banana bread but it is fantastic when warmed and topped with a little butter and honey (-:
It's truly a heathy choice!
I created this recipe by changing up a few old favorites...
2 ¼ cup whole-wheat flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
3 large bananas (the riper the better)
¼ cup kefir (or yogurt) plain
¼ cup honey
2 eggs
1/3 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
extra honey for drizzling (per Chef Deacon ;-)
