Interrailing Europe - Italy, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine with the 22 Days Global Pass

Описание: Heading south from Karlsruhe we cross the Alps by means of the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express ending up in Tirano. Then via Milano and an overnight train down to Bari which we use as a base for exploring Puglia: the ubiquitous trulli of Alberobello, the white town of Ostuni and unknown Putignano. From Bari we catch the overnight ferry to Bar in Montenegro and arrive just in time for boarding the day train that takes us on a spectacular ride to Belgrade. Then further North to Timisoara on a little side track through Vrsac. From Timisoara we work our way to the East stopping at Hunedoara to visit the impressive castle. Sibiu makes for a good base to visit some of the fortified monasteries (Cisnadie). Further on to Brasov for some more fortified churches (Prejmer) and an excursion to Sighisoara the birthplace of Vlad Tepes aka Count Dracula. Our route then takes us in a huge Southern sweep via Bucharest to Suceava. From here we can explore the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina: Voronet, Humor, Moldovita, Sucevita. We even get to see an egg museum at Vama. We then leave Interrail territory and go into unknown Ukraine. Via Czernowitz we get to Lviv and dip deep into Austro-Hungarian history. A through sleeping car takes us back into Interrail territory and Prague. We do a quick return to Karlsruhe via Dresden.
