Описание: Taking off in Luxembourg with a TGV to Perpignan. Le Petit Train Jaune takes us to Latour-de-Carol, where we cross the border into Spain and then hop on to a commuter train (Cercanias) to Barcelona. After a good dinner we board the luxurious Trenhotel to A Coruna the jumping off point to Santiago de Compostela. Then we head South for Porto and some wine tasting in the Douro Valley. Further South to Tomar and then to Lisbon. A day excursion takes us to Sintra for the fancy Castelo dos Mouros. By train to Evora, a good base to visit Neolithic excavation sites and Estremoz. Marvao is considered to be a lookout over the world, so we bus there. We use the recently restored rail link from Portalegre to Badajoz for our return to Spain. Caceres is an unknown town in the Extremadura, but with a fabulous old town. Via Madrid vith the AVE to Zaragoza and then by a regional train to Canfranc in the Pyrenees. Rail connection to France has not been restored yet, so we resort to a bus and pick up the train in Bedous that takes us to Pau and further to Toulouse. A couchette for the overnight haul to Paris and then a combination of trains for the final leg back to Karlsruhe.
