Collection of Rare Kapustin Arrangements and Recordings from the 70s

Описание: These recordings feature an important period in Kapustin's life where he worked with Boris Karamyshev's "Blue Screen" Orchestra and the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography. We can hear how the music that Kapustin immersed himself with during this time was largely influential to his own early compositions (op.3 to op.38).

The first part is taken from the album "Compositions in Dance Rhythms" by Alexander Varlamov. Kapustin was closely acquainted with Varlamov during this time, and he helped arrange many of Varlamov's works. In Conversations with Nikolai Kapustin, this album was described as "one of the vinyl discs of Varlamov’s compositions arranged by Kapustin", featuring a selection of recordings from 1975-1979. Though it implies that all of them are Kapustin's arrangements, I couldn't find information online to confirm this. Kapustin was attributed as the pianist in some of these recordings, and all solo sections were his own improvisations.
