The boys and I travelled from Melbourne to Nine Mile Creek near Yackandandah for a camping and gold prospecting trip.
This was the first time using our new gold sluice box, so the goal was to learn the setup, put it to work in the creek, and see what we could find. Along the way, we camped in tents, cooked good food over the fire, and made the most of a few solid days outdoors.
By the end of the trip, we managed to pan and sluice around one gram of gold from Nine Mile Creek a great result for a first proper run.
This trip was all about learning, camping, and putting new gear to the test in the field.
