Traveling in the off-season on Koh Lipe, Thailand, I rented a boat to hike to the top of Koh Adang Waterfalls. Thanks to a super moon and unusually high tides, the beach completely disappeared, and I was dropped at the wrong spot — forcing me to find my own way through unmarked, untouched jungle inside the national park.
What followed was a classic adventure miscalculation, a bit of chaos, and a lesson in island exploration that didn’t quite go to plan. Proof that it doesn’t always have to be fun… to still be fun. 😅
Luckily the Thai edibles kept my humor up all day😎
