I spent a week travelling around Koh Lipe, Thailand, and after a tip from a local about a secret beach, I couldn’t resist going exploring to find it.
Koh Lipe is only 2.5km across, but this turned into a much bigger adventure than expected. I covered around 15km on foot, trekking through dense jungle, losing the trail multiple times, and completely turning myself around more than once.
Totally lost — but having a great time.
A mix of tropical heat, jungle terrain, and some very strong Thai edibles made this one of those travel days where you just laugh at yourself and keep going.
It ended perfectly with cold beers, good food, and that feeling you only get after a long, chaotic day of exploring.
