Stephane Rochet (CF-L3) joins Competition Director Adrian Bozman at the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games to discuss Bozman’s first year planning the Games. When Bozman stepped into the role of Competition Director, he was given a blank slate. Although it gave him creative freedom, Bozman says it wasn’t without challenges.
The two also dive into how the CrossFit Games fit under the umbrella of CrossFit, as Bozman explains that the Games are in service to the community. For elite athletes, it provides a professional endeavor. To the larger community, it draws people into the methodology.
“It’s the promo package,” Bozman says. “In the larger ecosystem — it’s the aspirational element that you can look at and say, ‘Wow, I’m fired up to go train.’”
