Fall Color Trail Run and Motorcycle Ride - Cloquet Forestry Center, Minnesota

I'm hitting the road on my motorcycle this week to get to some trails that I've been meaning to try for a while. The University of Minnesota Cloquet Forestry Center is a little-known, but quite beautiful area on the west side of Cloquet, Minnesota near the Cloquet/Carlton [International?] Airport. The fall colors are almost peaking here, so join me for some autumn leaf-peeping from both road and trail.
The forestry center is the primary research forest for the University of Minnesota encompassing over 3,000 acres right nearby a very important commercial forestry center in the state. The trails are open to the public.
A special highlight was the fire tower, which at least gave the illusion of being ready to topple at any moment. The spongy stair treads and landings were also a really nice touch. Chef's kiss.
