Pete Robinson wasn't the most powerful. He was the smartest. And his ideas were so far ahead of his time that Formula 1 wouldn't catch up for another decade.
Three of his inventions are mandatory safety equipment in drag racing today. One of his inventions got banned on the spot. And the experiment that killed him at 37 years old is still being studied.
