Older locomotives still in revenue service! Push Pull Grain and Steel branch line trains of Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. Hilly and curvy railroad line known as the Peavine in southern Ohio. Both sides of the short trains were filmed in downtown Williamsburg, Ohio and west of town at the entrance to Afton Yard. Filmed at the end of November on two different days, I caught both trains at the same two railroad crossings. The first day was 23 degrees F. with light snow and the second day was above freezing with all the snow melted. First train has an SD45-2 leading with 3 loads of grain and a GE B36-7 trailing. Second train has a GP49 leading with 3 loads of scrap metal from Cohen Recycling, 5 cars removed from storage and the B36-7 trailing again. The GP49 will be taken out of service soon once they get the other B36-7 operating. CCET has a majority owner named Columbia Rail, formerly known as Frontier Rail. Name change after adding lines in Washington State and Oregon. Filmed on November 28 and November 30, 2018. Thanks for watching! Please comment, rate and SUBSCRIBE TO JAWTOOTH!!
