The portafilter and the filter basket are two of the most important components of your espresso machine as they are designed to ensure a consistent espresso extraction for a well-balanced espresso shot. Three simple steps can help you to clean your portafilter, ensuring that your machine is always working to its highest standard.

Directions:
1. Take out the filter basket and wash it with a scouring brush and light detergent in hot water.
2. Alternatively, you can use a cleaning tablet to soak the metal part of the porta filter.
3. A regular flush with the portafilter after each shot helps it stay clean throughout day-to-day use.
