This morning at Toddler and Early Years STEM, we explored water, reflection and playful problem‑solving. The children experimented with dripping drops of water onto wax, noticing how the droplets behaved on the surface. They waved at their reflections in still water and watched how the images changed as ripples formed.
We also played with conkers, using them to make water overflow and tipping bowls of water and conkers through sieves to see what would pass through. The children finished by exploring sponges, squeezing, soaking and transferring water. A joyful mix of sensory play, early science and hands‑on discovery.
