Healthier option to regular all purpose flour cookies and really tasty too.
Ingredients
1. 1 & 1/4 cup Jowar flour
2. 1/4 cup unsalted Butter at room temperature
3. 1/4 cup & 2 tsp powdered sugar
4. 1/4 cup Curd at room temperature
5. 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
6. 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
7. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
Recipe
1. Sift Jowar flour 4-5 times
2. Take a mixing bowl add butter and whisk well for 2-3 mins until you get a creamy texture
3. Add powdered sugar and mix well
4. Add cardamom powder and well.
5. Add curd, baking powder & baking soda and mix well
5. Knead the dough and then rest the dough for 10 mins.
6. After 10 mins knead the dough again.
7. If you feel the dough is dry , then sprinkle some water while kneading.
8. Take small portions of the dough and make cookie size shapes and place on a baking tray
9. Using a fork make a basic design on the top. You can use dry fruits instead.
10. The oven needs to be pre-heated at 200 degree Celsius for 10 mins.
12. Bake the cookies for 20-25 mins at 200 degree Celsius.
13. After 20-25 mins remove the cookies from the oven and let them completely cool down. This will take atleast 30 mins. If you dont let the cookies cool down and eat them instantly then they won't be crunchy.
14. After 30 mins you are all set to enjoy the cookies.
