🥗 Ingredients
2 cup Makhana (Fox Nuts)
½ cup Gud (Jaggery) – grated
2 tbsp White Til (Sesame Seeds)
1 tsp Desi Ghee
¼ tsp Elaichi Powder
1 tbsp Dry Fruits (optional) – badam, kaj
Step-by-Step Method
Step 1: Roast the Makhana
Heat a pan on medium flame and add 1 teaspoon desi ghee.
Add the makhana and roast for 6–7 minutes, stirring continuously, until they become light, crispy, and crunchy.
Remove and keep aside.
Step 2: Roast the Sesame Seeds
In the same pan, add sesame seeds and dry roast on low flame for 1–2 minutes until they start popping and turn slightly golden.
Transfer to a plate.
Step 3: Melt the Jaggery
Reduce the flame to low and add the grated jaggery to the pan.
Stir continuously until the jaggery melts completely.
👉 Do not add water and do not overcook, otherwise the jaggery will harden.
Step 4: Mix Everything
Switch off the flame and immediately add:
Roasted makhana
Roasted sesame seeds
Cardamom powder
Chopped dry fruits
Mix quickly and evenly so the jaggery coats everything well.
Step 5: Cool & Serve
Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Once cooled, the snack becomes perfectly crunchy and ready to eat.
