Nau Devi Mandir, Katra

Nau Durga Temple is a highly reputed temple situated 9 kms away from Katra town. It is one of the main tourist attraction who wants to have darshan of 9 Devi’s. The darshan can be performed in the form of Pindies.

It has a very beautiful location. The temple is inside a small cave, where you have to enter by crawling on the tile floor.

The temple is dedicated to nine different forms of Goddess Durga, namely Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Saraswati, Maha Durga, Maha Gauri, Maha Chandika, Maha Vaishno Devi, Maha Annapurna, and Maha Jwala Devi.

Although there isn't much documented history about the temple's origins, it is believed to be several centuries old. Devotees visit this temple to seek blessings and fulfillment of their wishes.

Navratri, the nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, is celebrated with great fervor here.


You must know :-

The taxi fare can range from ₹300 to ₹500 for a round trip from Katra to Nau Devi Mandir and back.

Auto-rickshaw fare can range from ₹150 to ₹200 or more for a round trip.

The temple is 100 meters down to the main Katra Reasi road.

Baba Dhansar, Nav Durga Mandir and Baba Jitto are on same route. So you should plan accordingly.
